This Privacy Policy explains how Fat Duck Gaming ("FDG", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use our websites, FiveM server, Discord server, Discord applications and bots, and related services (together, the "Services").

By using the Services you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Information from Discord

When you join our Discord server, interact with our Discord applications or bots, or sign in to an FDG service using Discord, we may receive the following from Discord:

Your Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar.
Your membership and roles in the FDG Discord server.
Your email address, only where you explicitly grant the email permission during sign-in.
Messages, commands and other content you send to or through our bots, where needed for the feature you are using (for example, support tickets or moderation actions).

We only request the Discord permissions (OAuth2 scopes) required for the feature you are using.

Our Discord bot and message content

Our Discord bot uses Discord's message content and server members permissions. This means it can read messages in the channels it has access to, and messages you send to it directly. The bot uses this to:

Respond to text commands, such as account verification, linking your Twitch account and checking your playtime. When you verify or link an account, we store your Discord user ID and any linked usernames against your FDG account.
Forward direct messages to staff. Messages you send to the bot by DM, along with your Discord username and avatar, are posted to a private staff channel so staff can respond.
Keep our community records up to date, such as syncing server roles with in-game perks and recording moderation actions (warnings, bans and notes) taken by staff.
Diagnose problems. Unrecognised commands, including the message text and author, may appear in the bot's technical logs.

The bot does not read, store or analyse general chat for any other purpose, and message content is never sold, shared with advertisers or used to train AI or machine learning models.

Information from FiveM and Cfx.re

When you connect to our FiveM server we may collect your game and platform identifiers (such as your Cfx.re, FiveM license, Steam and Discord identifiers), IP address, in-game character data, and gameplay and server logs.

Information you provide

Information you choose to give us, such as support tickets, player complaints, appeals, applications and messages to staff.

Website analytics

Our website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It records aggregate information such as pages visited, referrers, browser type and country.

Payments

Donations and subscriptions are processed by Tebex. FDG does not receive or store your card or payment details. We receive limited information from Tebex (such as your Cfx.re account, linked Discord account and purchased package) so we can apply the correct perks and roles.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate and maintain the Services, including assigning Discord roles and linking your accounts.
Authenticate you when you sign in to FDG services.
Respond to support tickets, complaints and appeals.
Moderate our community and enforce our rules, including preventing cheating, fraud and abuse.
Keep the Services secure and diagnose technical problems.
Understand how the Services are used so we can improve them.

We do not use data obtained through the Discord API for any purpose other than providing the features of our Services, and we do not use it to train machine learning or AI models.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

We only share information:

With service providers who help us run the Services (such as hosting, Discord, Cfx.re and Tebex), and only as needed for them to provide that service.
With authorised FDG staff who need it to perform their role. Access to sensitive information is limited to a small number of staff.
Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of FDG, our players or others.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Moderation records (such as bans and warnings) and support ticket transcripts may be kept for longer to protect the community and handle appeals. When information is no longer needed it is deleted or de-identified.

Message content collected by our Discord bot is only kept where it forms part of a staff log or support ticket. You can ask us to delete it at any time using the contact details below.

Your Rights and Choices

You can:

Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
Request that we correct inaccurate information.
Request that we delete your information.
Stop using our Discord applications at any time by leaving the FDG Discord server or removing the application's access under User Settings → Authorized Apps in Discord.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and some information may be kept where we are required to by law or to enforce our rules.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including restricting staff access and using secure connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
